Yup I picked up a new Nightswan at a music store the first thing I did was feel the frets and they were just horrible like yours. I would never I mean never buy a new Kramer owned by Gibson. If you’re going to get one buy a vintage one.

I just received my Ace Frehely blue sparkle Chibson les paul last week. It was from a different seller, but it had the same sticker over the headstock, LS Custom. I absolutely love this guitar. I already have to change the 3-way switch. It doesn't always work when it is in the down position. Not a big deal to me. Mine also has the big pots in it. There is nothing else i will change. Sure the pickups could be better, but they are good enough for me to jam wirh in my man cave. No regrets about this purchase!!! Thanks for the review. I was leaning towards getting the Cherry Burst Ace Frehely les paul, util i saw this video a number of months ago. Then i knew i wanted the blue sparkle. Thanks so much for the videos.

There is no good physics-based evidence that the acoustic sound of a solid-body guitar has anything to do with the solid body wood. What you are mostly hearing is the acoustic sound waves direct from the strings (with some acoustic reflection of those sound waves bouncing off the top surface). Which is why it sounds so anaemic compared to a real acoustic guitar. But that acoustic sound is still somewhat important, just not for the reason some people think (wood). It's important because it is indicative of the vibrations in the strings, which of course is what the pickups see. That common misunderstanding about the acoustic sound is often tied to the belief in "transfer of vibrations to the body" as both a significant and a "good" thing. Which is physics nonsense. If it were true, sustain would be very poor, because those vibrations would be lost fom the strings (Conservation of Energy Law). The 'echo chamber' is the science-challenged echo chamber of famous players, guitar journalists, and guitar manufacturers who have promulgated various physics nonsense about how solid-body electric guitars actually work.

In my experience the Chibsons i bought never matched what the UA-camrs were demonstrating 😄

As long as the guitar is a good player i am not usually worried about the name on the headstock. For me its about the feel and the playability.

Love the guitars but I got the first pre covid focus the trem block on it was steel not pot metal!! and one on the best fret jobs I ever saw fast forward after covid I got the newer green one and pink of those 2 the pink one is the best green one really like yours but I kept mine currently needs about 3 or 4 frets done and only way to play it right now is with the truss rod bowed like robin hoods bow.i was about to get one idk did it ever work out for you?

I think the ESP/LTD EC-10 beats it, but just by a little. Great p'ups, and body contour, it's kind of hard to beat on the under $150 range. I'll hand it o Fesley, they're getting there, but I still think if you're shopping in the budget range, the Harley Benton shop should be one of your first stops. The Guild Surfliner, imo is probably the best $250ish option out there as of this posting, it's on sale almost half off on Reverb(from $499 reg price, to $269 now), and hell yeah I got one of those.

On the Flirefly Tremolo or "Vibrato" Mod 2 years ago, DUDE, did you never play the thing for us? I noticed that the "Vibrato" bar was right over the switch. I'm interested in seeing a dive performed yeah? Clean and dirty effects please. 🥰

I ordered the swifter after watching the bald shredder review and unfortunately something going on with the electronics sounds like maybe needed grounded better . Buzzes and hums when sitting idle and then when playing also making some noizes😮. Bummed cuz guitar feels good other wise

Differing opinion: it does not sound just as good as a Gibson. It’s a great beginners guitar or a collectors piece for sure. But I can’t concur with the Gibson comparison.

Amazing. I bought a custom built sparkle blue burst almost 10 years ago, but with a 5way selector switch and a on/off toggle. I replaced all electronics; I had a complete cavity including Slash pickups from A Gibson Studio. Bridge and tail piece too. There was some fret buzz, I managed to clear away. All in all including "Anomaly" hand painted headstock and a Dimarzio super distortion (no Gibson name and off cause not including the original Gibson parts and Slash pickup) I paid $412. It was made to my specs. It took 8 months from initial request to delivery.

I could just buy the kramer baretta 84 with the floyd rose already installed. It is risky modding a guitar to accommodate a floyd rose, because that 170 bucks down the drain.
